Finding Truth...
With all of the spiritual whirlwinds that exist in our world today it is more important than ever before, in the history of our world, to "catch the vision" of truth (Proverbs 29:18) that answers the important questions "who am I", "why am I here", and "what am I supposed to do".
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, gave us direction to finding and recognizing truth when he declared, "If ye continue in My word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free (John 8:31‐32).
So how do we "find" truth? Jesus tells us truth can be found "in My word", and we know that His words are the Holy Scripture's and words of our prophets in these Latter‐ days.
How will truth, once found, "make us free"? In a General conference address given in April of 2013 Elder L. Tom Perry said "Men and women receive their agency as a gift from God, but their liberty and, in turn, their eternal happiness come from obedience to His laws." That said the answer to finding truth and gaining freedom is by "feasting" on the word of God and living by the principles therein.
Conference is once again knocking on our door. It's an exciting time! Are you prepared? Are you ready to hear what your Heavenly Father wants to tell you through His chosen servants? I invite each of us to approach this conference in humility and with a prayer in our hearts so that we will hear the message that He has prepared for each of us individually and collectively. Surely it will come if we are ready.
Brothers and sisters, I know that Jesus Christ lives. His love for us individually and collectively is the most powerful force that exists. He knows us in a complete and perfect way, and we are of infinite worth to Him. I am in awe of His perfect love for me and that somehow, through all of my many weaknesses, I am of infinite worth to Him.
He will show His omniscient power and His perfect love for us through His servants next month in General Conference. Will you be prepared?

Thanks so much for sharing this! What a fantastic idea. Reading about Heavenly Father, His words, as the source of truth made me think: who better than our Creator and Father to give us a blueprint and guide for how to make the most of our (the Createds) spiritual progression and our earthly journey. He can teach us how to reach our potential in ways that we never imagined, because He alone realizes the full potential of each soul. His commandments and guidelines are the blueprint of Becoming... Hmm... lots to think about!
